Paisley 1875 - 1974
In 1875 eleven years after starting his business, James Robertson, built his first factory, Thrushgrove, in Thrushcraig, Paisley. The phone number was Paisley 47.
James believed in consistency and quality. To this end he installed laboratories in each factory, where the preserve was checked every half hour.
